Over the years, we’ve seen that BEA has become a numbers challenge. 72 hours. 3 parties in one night. 89 degrees Fahrenheit outside of the Javitz center, 95 degrees inside. $12.50 on the taxi meter and still running. 1,500 exhibitors, 3,000 conversations, 40,000 visitors.
How do you get around to see everyone you’d like to see? How do get to hear all of the small but important comments you need to hear? How do you, as a publisher, editor or marketer get heard above the din?
By doing what you’re doing now. Check in with our blog. Often. Each day we’ll be posting bits and pieces of the conversations we’re having with editors, publishers, buyers, anyone and everyone who has an important message – or something funny – that you might be interested in. Let us know about your BEA experience, right here, right now by posting a comment. Let us know if there’s something you’d like us to ask about, or comment on what others have said. Use our blog to get yourself into the conversation.
Then, when the floors been swept and all the galleys are gone, and we all get back to doing what we do each day, start a conversation of a new sort with your audience. Start some buzz of your own. If you’d like to know more about how to use a blog like this, or any of the other growing social media techniques to sell more books, call us, or check back in a few days when we post the podcast interview with our Social Media partner, Dave Parmet, blogosphere expert. Let us know how we can help.
